  Excellent value at this great little hotel in a very convenient location with plenty of free parking. The room was "just right", not a large room, but spacious enough to be cozy and comfortable without feeling cramped or awkward. Some items have been nicely updated, some are still waiting their turn, but everything was clean, working well, the room was nice and quiet in spite of sharing the building with a pub. Nice, comfortable bed, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, wifi, TV, and those awesome side-table lamps which have the electrical outlet at the top to easily plug in phones, etc! It's a great spot for a short-term stay where you don't need to drive everywhere as it is smack in the middle of downtown Creston. I only stayed one night while travelling through, and got an excellent night's sleep. I'd stay here again for a weekend get-away to the area. The check-in area is kinda funny, more like a ticket booth! They offer refreshments at the entrance, and the friendly check-in girl gave me some good input regarding entertainment and food.

  Went only to Jimmy's Pub for lunch... While it's mid-fall and I don't expect the highest of quality that you would hope for during summer tourist season, I was somewhat disappointed. The burgers were touted to be from local farms, however it looked, felt, and tasted like it had been sitting in a Sysco freezer for a few years. The yam fries were good and so was the beer, but those are pretty standard. The service, however, was great, and my friend who had one of their homemade pizzas said it was great and looked delicious. So maybe the burgers just aren't up to snuff. In a town of limited choices, Jimmy's Pub certainly wasn't terrible, but nothing to write home about.
